Ignorance is not an excuse. Isn’t that what the Courts usually say?
I found a heads up about this story here on Instapundit’s blog. I’ve heard of the victim being re-victimized by the system intended to protect and serve them… but never to this extent, that I can remember. Check out this post on the Sex Crimes blog about what’s going on in Georgia with Douglas County District Attorney David McDade and his releasing images of a child porn to everyone who cites open records laws.
Too bad McDade obviously hasn’t participated in some of the valuable training by the National Law Center for Children and Families that outlines the Adam Walsh Act of 2006. Otherwise, he might be informed enough to know that what he is doing is illegal. Just for the record, General McDade, NLC has one of their seminars coming up in South Carolina in the coming days, since you missed the Alabama and Tennessee offerings already.
From what I have read, McDade may have a history of questionable practices in Georgia.
