Rolling Stone…coming to a mailbox near you

September 24, 2008

You don’t subscribe to Rolling Stone Magazine but you got a copy in the mail anyhow.  How did that happen?  Well, it seems that Jann Wenner, the Obamaniac and editor of both Rolling Stone and Us Magazine has decided to send out free copies of the October 2nd issue with their new Sarah Palin bashing article by Matt Taibbi in it.  From the online table of contents for the new issue in the National Affairs section…

Mad Dog Palin

John McCain’s running mate may be a tawdry, half-assed fraud — but that’s not as scary as what her candidacy really says about America.
By Matt Taibbi

Although Rolling Stone hasn’t put the Taibbi article online, yet, Michelle Malkin has an excerpt of it…

Palin is a symbol of everything that is wrong with the modern United States. As a representative of our political system, she’s a new low in reptilian villainy, the ultimate cynical masterwork of puppeteers like Karl Rove. But more than that, she is a horrifying symbol of how little we ask for in return for the total surrender of our political power. Not only is Sarah Palin a fraud, she’s the tawdriest, most half-assed fraud imaginable, 20 floors below the lowest common denominator, a character too dumb even for daytime TV — and this country is going to eat her up, cheering her every step of the way. All because most Americans no longer have the base energy to do anything but lie back and allow ourselves to be jacked off by the calculating thieves who run this grasping consumer paradise we call a nation…

…She appeared to be completely without shame and utterly full of shit, awing a room full of hardened reporters with her sickly-sweet line about the high-school-flame-turned-hubby who “five children later,” is “still my guy.” It was like watching Gidget address the Reichstag.

That Matt Taibbi is one classy dude, huh?  🙄

Tennessee Democrat family connected to theft of Palin’s private e-mail?

September 18, 2008

Yahoo! e-mail

By now, most everyone has heard about Gov. Sarah Palin’s private Yahoo! e-mail being hacked into early Wednesday morning.  Michelle Malkin first posted on it here and has several follow-up posts here, here, here and here

Yes.  The FBI and the Secret Service are investigating.  And, it seems to have taken an interesting turn for those of us here in Tennessee.

I heard on WNOX 100.3 News/Talk Radio today that the FBI had interviewed a student at the University of Tennessee-Knoxville today and that the young male individual interviewed is the offspring of a state legislator here in Tennessee.  Interesting, right?  It gets even more interesting.

Who is the legislator?  WBIR reports it to be State Representative Mike Kernell, a Memphis Democrat in District 93.  It was Kernell’s son, David, that was interviewed by federal authorities.

Rep. Mike Kernell (Memphis-D)

Rep. Mike Kernell (Memphis-D)

Does there look to be a correlation between the alleged hacker, Rubico, and David Kernell and, maybe, the Obama campaign?

Well, it just keeps getting more and more interesting as things unfold.  Let’s see how it shakes out.

Book banning. It’s an hypocrisy thing.

Remember when Sarah Palin was accused of banning books as mayor of Wasilla, AK?  Yeah.  You know?  When many of the books on the list weren’t even in print at the time she was accused of doing it.

As of late, Hollyweird celebritwits have decided they need to get in on the action.  Yeah.  I know.  It’s old news.  But, celebritwits are usually a little behind the curve on things.  😉

PUMAs for McCain-Palin

September 17, 2008

It would seem that some portions of the Democrats’ party are still feeling disenfranchised.

Sorry, Charlie. Palin’s not the first to make an allusion to God.

September 15, 2008

H/T to Michelle Malkin.

There’s a very interesting opinion piece over at The Gazette in Colorado Springs, CO titled “Fabricating a GOP tyrant.”

It looks to be a well written article and takes a moment to remind Charlie Gibson and other leftists that past-presidents, not just vice-presidential candidates, have indicated a correlation between God and our government.

Certainly no one should feel inclined to agree with them, but if Palin is too religiously extreme for public office, how do we explain Washington, Kennedy, Carter, Clinton and Reagan?

“It is impossible to govern the world without God and the Bible.” – George Washington, Farewell Address, 1796

“Let us go forth to lead the land we love, asking his blessing and his help, but knowing that here on earth God’s work must truly be our own.” – John F. Kennedy, inaugural address, Jan. 20, 1961

“Let us teach our children that the God of comfort is also the God of righteousness. Those who trouble their own house will inherit the wind. Justice will Prevail.” – Bill Clinton, April 23, 1985, after the Oklahoma City bombing

“Those who are lost now belong to God. Some day we will be with them.” – (Bill) Clinton, April 23, 1985, Oklahoma City

“You can not divorce religious belief and public service. I’ve never detected a conflict between God’s will and my political duty. If you violate one, you violate the other.” – Jimmy Carter, Atlanta, June 16, 1978

“Freedom prospers when religion is vibrant and the rule of law under God is acknowledged.” – Ronald Reagan

You do notice that includes candidates from both political parties, right?
